Settings consist of database and timespan selections. You will find database and timespan settings at the bottom of each search page.

When you end your session, settings are reset to the default settings for individual databases. For example, the default settings for Web of Science are All Years available in your current subscription and the following databases.

• Science Citation Index Expanded
• Social Sciences Citation Index
• Arts & Humanities Citation Index

To save your settings:

1. Make sure that you have signed in to ISI Web of Knowledge.

2. Go to the product database that you want to search.

3. On the product's Search page, click the Change Limits link near the bottom of the page.

4. Select the database(s) and timespan that you want to save as your default settings.

5. Click Save As My Defaults.

Reminder - Register and Sign In

To save your database and timespan settings, you must be a registered user and you must sign in.

Did You Know ...

During a search session, you can select different database(s) and/or timespan to search even though you have saved your settings. When you end your session, the settings will revert to the settings you originally saved.
