Current Contents Connect also allows you to search a premium collection of evaluated scholarly Web sites and access evaluated, full-text Web documents in three general resource types: preprints, funding information, and research activities. Biological Abstracts is a comprehensive reference database of information from over 4,200 life sciences journals. Biological Abstracts features a unique indexing system, called relational indexing, which shows relationships between terms. It also includes a hierarchical index of taxonomic names to facilitate searching by both experts and novice users. BIOSIS Previews is a comprehensive database of information from the literature of the life sciences. It combines journal content from Biological Abstracts with non-journal content from Biological Abstracts/RRM (Reports, Reviews and Meetings). Publications indexed include 5,500 international serials, conference reports, books, and patents. BIOSIS Previews features a unique indexing system, called relational indexing, which shows relationships between terms. It also includes a hierarchical index of taxonomic names to facilitate searching by both experts and novice users. CAB Abstracts covers the significant research and development literature in the fields of agriculture, forestry, aspects of human health, human nutrition, animal health, and the management and conservation of natural resources. In addition to 9,000 journals, publications indexed for CAB Abstracts include conference proceedings, books, reports, and theses. The database contains over 4,700,000 records. Over 200,000 records are added annually. Notable features include a comprehensive thesaurus and CABICODES, which are classification codes that indicate the broad subject areas addressed by source documents. CAB Abstracts® is a registered trademark of CAB International. Food Science and Technology Abstracts (FSTA)® Food Science and Technology Abstracts is an extensive collection of abstracts prepared from the world's food science, food technology, and food-related human nutrition literature. Specialist scientists from the International Food Information Service (IFIS) extract the food-relevant information from the original literature to form concise, comprehensive summaries. This provides a quick and easy way for busy food professionals to keep up with new developments and research in the food community. Notable features of FSTA include patent coverage, a searchable thesaurus, and a subject classification scheme. Inspec covers the significant research and development literature in the fields of physics, electronics, communications, electrical engineering, control engineering, information technology, and the applications of computers to a wide variety of disciplines. Publications indexed for Inspec include over 3,850 journals, some 2,000 conference proceedings, and numerous books, technical reports, and dissertations. Notable features include a comprehensive thesaurus, a subject classification scheme, numerical indexing, and chemical indexing. MEDLINE is the premier database of the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM). It contains over 16,950,000 records of journal articles in all areas of the life sciences, with particular emphasis on biomedicine. MEDLINE records are created by NLM and collaborating partners. The articles indexed in MEDLINE were published in more than 4,900 international journals, published in over 30 languages. Notable features include the authoritative MeSH Thesaurus and automatic mapping of search terms to MeSH headings and qualifiers. See the following sections governing the use of NLM material. Zoological Record is a comprehensive reference database covering all aspects of modern animal research. Its scope of coverage represents every area of animal biology, from biodiversity and the environment to taxonomy and veterinary sciences. The Zoological Record Thesaurus is a preeminent authority on the classification and naming of animals and animal-related topics. Publications indexed include 5,000 international serials from 100 countries. Web Citation Index provides a citation index of scholarly material accessible through the World Wide Web. Employing advanced Web retrieval technology, Thomson Scientific editors locate, evaluate, and select appropriate Web repositories from leading institutions that are relevant to your research. Within these repositories you will find technical reports, preprints, theses, white papers, and more. Immediate access to the full text of these documents is available via Portable Document Format (PDF) and PostScript (PS). Journal Citation Reports is a comprehensive and unique resource that allows you to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from over 7,500 scholarly and technical journals from more than 3,300 publishers in over 60 countries.
